Displays your current position's height above sea level.

Altitude relies on your iPhone's built-in GPS. It will continue to search for more accurate data until you change your position or stop the service.

Please consider, that finding vertical position data needs more/better GPS signals than finding horizontal position data. Try under free sky, wait for 30 seconds to give your device the possibility to collect data. If there is no altitude found it is possible that there are not sufficient GPS signals available in your location at this time. Try another location. Altitude does work only if sufficient GPS signals are available.

The altitude value displayed refers to GPS Normal Null, which relates to a reference geoid and differs from local N.N. standards.

Do not expect high accuracy or availability. Altitude is not professional equipment and is made for entertainment purposes only.
