GhostControl

Are you tired of being tethered to your keyboard and mouse for performing any task with your computer? If yes, then Ghost Control is the application for you.

Ghost control is an iPhone application that allows you to control your computer's keyboard and mouse. It uses the local Wifi connection to communicate thereby controlling wirelessly. Think of the endless possibilities that come along with this.

1. Games: Ghost control enables you to play your games and allows you to customize your game controls.

2. Business: Ghost control allows you to use your iPhone to give presentations.

3. Media players: Ghost control allows you to remotely control your iTunes, or any preferred media player, without being in line-of-sight, unlike regular remote controls.

4. Editors: Love typing using your iPhone? Ghost control provides a simple data entry field to remotely create or modify your documents.

User Guide - Here is a quick glance on how you can use Ghost Control to remotely control your computer.

Touchpad:
The GhostControl application controls your mouse via the touchpad interface. One can perform all mouse actions using this interface.

(a) Movement: Move your fingers along the touchpad and the mouse "obediently" follows it :-)

(b) Left-click: Tap once with your finger on the touchpad; to double-click, simply tap twice.

(c) Right-click: Tap once with two fingers on the touchpad.

(d) Drag: To drag, press the "Click" button and move to the desired location by moving along the touchpad.

Text field:
The GhostControl application enables sending remote text to applications such as Notepad etc. To use it, simply tap the empty text field area next to "Send Text: ". This pops up the iPhone's keyboard, and text entered will be sent to your computer.

Arrow keys:
The left/right/top/bottom buttons map to your keyboard's arrow keys.

Click:
Coupled with the touchpad the click button can be used to perform drag and select operations on your computer.

Notes:
1. GhostControl requires a simple host program to be installed on your computer. You can download it from www.varunbansal.info/downloads/Ghosthost.zip

2. GhostControl now supports both Mac and PC.
