Gmail Alerts
Gmail Alerts sends a push alert to your iPhone when you receive a new email in your Gmail account.
HOW IT WORKS
- install the app
- add a @gmail.com, @googlemail.com or any email address hosted on Google Apps
- setup your account to forward mail to gmail@push2iphone.com
- start receiving alerts every time someone sends you an email!
FEATURES
· Push email for any email address hosted by Google (including Google Apps domains)
· Supports multiple accounts - receive push alerts for all your email
· Built in Gmail client for viewing your email
· Convenience mode - turn off sound with alerts
· Your password is only ever used on your iPhone - never on our servers for security
SECURITY AND PRIVACY
In order for our systems to know when you have new email your account needs to automatically forward the email to our servers. We appreciate there might be security concerns surrounding this, but we believe this is a better approach than using your username and password directly.
None of your emails are ever saved on our servers - our automated system will extract information about an email (who it was from and the subject) and send you a push notification. The email will then be discarded immediately - the original will be in your Gmail Inbox.
ONGOING COSTS
In order to maintain the best possible service we require that you maintain a valid subscription to this service.
The initial app purchase includes a 1 month subscription. After that time, if you wish to continue receiving alerts, you will need to purchase subscription extensions
