Magnetic Flux & Metal Detector for 3GS

With the power of the iPhone 3GS internal compass, we are able to determine the magnetic flux of objects and thus provide you with a metal detector application.

Simply load up the Magnetic Flux & Metal Detector application and watch as the meter lights up to show you how strong the magnetic field is next to your iPhone. There is also an audible noise which changes pitch like a traditional metal detector when you get closer to magnetically sensitive objects (and the iPhone will vibrate if it detects strong magnetic forces)

For best results, lay your iPhone flat and sweep it over any objects that you wish to detect.

Please note: This application will only work on the iPhone 3GS due to the need for an inbuilt compass. You must also allow the application to use your location (as it requires access to the compass heading details).

WARNING! Do not use near very strong magnets as you may damage your iPhone's internal compass if you expose it for too long.
