With this app, and a small box PIR to make your iPhone, iPod or iPad is a portable alarm system. The system detects movement of people and large animals in a radius of about 6 meters. Especially when traveling in the hotel, motel, camping or outdoor motion detector system as this gives you the ability to monitor your personal environment. In people, the movements created an App escalating alarm, first visually and then only optical and acoustic alarm signal.

NOTE!
For a fully functional alarm system you need the HMB | TEC PIR-Box, which is operated on the headphone jack. The PIR-Box is available on request in the Webstore at www.hmb-tec.de

Without PIR-box the app responds to signal an internal or externally connected microphone. This is only one way to test the app function, and is unsuitable as a proper alarm system and does not replace the PIR motion detector

Operation
Connect the HMB | TEC PIR-Box to the headphone jack and start the app. The power cable is long enough to PIR box at a suitable place, eg in front of your bed or in the vestibule. At the approach of an (adverse) person or a larger animal the PIR detector (passive infrared) recognizes the emitted by the heat radiation of a person. The iPhone will now generate a first alarm stage a so-called silent alert signal. These will be displayed on the screen, an alarm and an animated alarm signal lamp. If after about 10 seconds of the PIR detector still detects a persons movement, in addition to this visual alarm an audible alarm will be generated via the built-in speakers. The volume of the alarm can be set when starting the app. A screen message draws your attention. You can always adjust the volume but also on the normal volume setting.

The required hardware for the full function (PIR-box) does not require additional batteries. It is supplied with power via the iPhone. To ensure that the alarm system remains functional throughout the night, you should operate your iPhone / iPod / iPad on a charging cable or in the docking station.
