Starting from iOS 4.3 you can access to the portable FTP Server without a separate portable hot-spot.
Just turn on the Hotspot on the iPhone and the FTP server of Photo FTP manager.

PhotoFTP is a new photo manager useful to keep in synch your iPhone with one or more FTP sites. You can have your full resolution images everywhere you are. The access to the iPhone camera folder and the embedded camera access makes PhotoFTP a great application: you will be able to fully manage your photos just using PhotoFTP.
Photos are organized in folders and any folder can be linked to a different FTP site. Exploit this feature to increase the memory of your iPhone.

Open one ore more free FTP account on the web (e.g. DriveHQ) and link it to a folder. This will increase your iPhone memory more and more. Less space used for photos means more space for apps and music. And your full resolution images are always with you !! on the web !!

PhotoFTP is very similar to the iPhone native photo application it stores an optimized image locally and the full resolution image remotely.
Use the import function to fill an empty folder from a remote FTP.
PhotoFTP contains a mini browser with fast picture preview, an image player with zooming function to see your images on your mobile at the best and the fast access to iPhone native image folders.
An embedded FTP server has been added now you can upload your photos from every FTP clients (e.g. professional cameras equipped with WiFi adapter.
