Remotux
Remotux turns your iPhone or iPod Touch into an extra keyboard and mouse for your computer. You can use it for presentations, controlling your home theater PC, and many other scenarios.
With Remotux, you will always have a full keyboard and mouse at your fingertips.
There are many similar apps available. Why should you choose Remotux?
- Security: Remotux encrypts communication between itself and the computer so no one can snoop and see what you type.
- Gestures: Remotux understands two-finger scrolling, double taps, and tapping with two fingers for a right click.
- Internationalization: Any characters you type on the iPhone OS's keyboard will be transmitted correctly to the computer.
- Platforms: The computer software works on Linux and Mac OS X
- Input Level: In Linux the events are interpreted at the system level so Remotux will work even in a virtual terminal.
Remotux communicates with computers running the Remote Input server software. The software is free. You can download it from https://wiki.ubuntu.com/RemoteInput/rinputd
