SI Calc is more than just a standard calculator, and it's not just a simple unit converter. It understands the International System of Units and how the various units relate to each other. For instance, multiplying amperes and volts together produces watts. Results are automatically displayed with the correct unit and magnitude. For instance, 25 A * 110 V resolves to 2.75 kW! Equations are entered as you would on paper and can be edited using the familiar iPhone touch gestures. They are also shown in their entirety on the screen rather than just intermediate results... you can always see what you've been doing!

But that's not all, the basic numeric type is complex numbers, and all calculations are supported for complex numbers. As an example, the number i is represented as (0,1), and 3+4i as (3,4).

It also can store variables that interact with each other similar to the way that spreadsheet cells interact. A change in one ripples through the other variables.

There are many functions supported as well: trigometric, hyperbolic, combinatorial, etc.
