TouchRemote allows you to use your iPhone/iPod Touch as an Wireless Remote, EYE-FREE!

Each button on the real remote is mapped to a touch/swipe action in TouchRemote:

Previous (Hold): Swipe (and hold) left
Next (Hold): Swipe (and hold) right
Volume Up (Hold): Swipe (and hold) upwards
Volume Down (Hold): Swipe (and hold) downwards
Play/Pause: Single Tap
Menu: Double Tap


TouchRemote can be recognized by iTunes, Front Row, iPhoto, Keynote, DVD Player, VLC, and ANYTHING* that works with the real Infrared Apple Remote.

TouchRemote Helper on your Mac mimics the real Apple Remote by a special crafted extension to ensure the maximum compatibility possible with your existing applications and it works perfect with Apple software.

READ BEFORE PURCHASE - IMPORTANT -

- Currently TouchRemote works with Macs ONLY
- You need a Wi-Fi connection to your Mac
- You need a helper program on your Mac (FREE download at http://playground.softboysxp.org/TouchRemote/Download.html. Just click the support link below so you don't have to type)
- The helper program requires Mac OS X Leopard (10.5) on the host machine
- TouchRemote will temporarily disable your Apple Remote (if any) during its running time. This is because most 3rd party applications only recognize the first remote device they discover. It'll pass the control back to your real remote when you quit the app.

* Certain applications (Remote Buddy, for example) uses a custom driver to contact with the physical remote directly, those applications will NOT recognize TouchRemote.
