*Wanna know how much precipitation is expected over the next 5 days in your area? Want to see with just the touch of a button? - Direct from the National Weather Service!

*Rain or Shine? is an application that displays where and how much precipitation will fall in the lower 48 over the next 5 days. Images are pulled from the National Weather Service and they are updated every 12 hours based on new computer model data. Just simply move the maps around and zoom in with your fingers.

There are 5 maps to choose from:

> Day 1: This map shows where precip is expected to fall in the next 0-24 hrs. The number on the map indicates the amount expected in inches.

> Day 2: This map shows where precip is expected to fall in the next 24-48 hrs. The number on the map indicates the amount expected in inches.

> Day 3: This map shows where precip is expected to fall in the next 48-72 hrs. The number on the map indicates the amount expected in inches.

> Days 4-5: This map shows where precip is expected to fall in the next 72-120 hrs. The number on the map indicates the amount expected in inches.

> 5 Day Total: This map shows where and how much precipitation is expected over the next 5 days, This is the grand total of the entire upcoming 5 day period . The number on the map indicates the amount expected in inches.

For anyone who is familiar with the National Weather Service, these maps are their QPF (Quantitative Precipitation Forecasts).
